This once little-known man can be considered the patriarch of many, his name indeed “great.” The Lord also told Abram: “And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse.” History bears this out. Nations which have not shown mercy to Abram’s descendants have virtually signed their own death warrants.
